Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50 Review

Hello Everyone,

March is about to end and here comes the harsh sunny summer. Although sun protection is must all year around but in summer you need to be extra careful. The harsh sunrays can burn you and give you pigmented, uneven skin tone. Today, I am going to review Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50 which I bought last month. I have been using this since 4 weeks. Let’s see how it worked for me.

Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50 Claims

The very high protection SPF 50+ cream is formulated specially for hypersensitive skin, light or very fair skin, skin prone to skin burns and skin exposed to intense sunlight.

Properties:  Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50 covers a very broad spectrum UV protection using a combination of exclusive ingredients, SunSitive Protection from Piere Fabre research. Its photo protective complex is optimized, stable and effective for extended periods. It offers best protection against UVB and also short and long UVA rays.

Pre-tocopheryl , a Vitamin E precursor (powerful anti oxidant) protects skin cells from free radicals. Rich in Avenue Thermal Water, it benefits from its soothing and anti-irritating properties.  Very Water Resistant, its rich and creamy texture protects and moisturizes dry, sensitive skin.

Directions to use: Before sun exposure, apply and average 7 of pumps on face and neck of an adult. Reapply frequently. By reducing the quantity, you will greatly decrease the level of protection.

My Experience with Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50

I recently got some dark patches on my face due to over exposure to sun. My Dermatologist suggested me Avene Sunscreen so I ordered this on. They have two variants for this one is cream which I have for dry and sensitive skin and second is emulsion for oily skin.  As my skin is combination and sensitive so I ordered Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50.

Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50 comes in bright orange color tube with a pump. I like its packaging it is quite attractive. This cap closes with a click so it makes it travel friendly.

The consistency is cream is thick and creamy. As I have combination skin, I don’t need any moisturizer under this. It works as sunscreen and moisturizer both. The Best thing about this despite of being formulated for dry skin, It never breaks me out neither it makes my skin greasy or oily. It gives a little bit of shine after 2 3 hours of application which can be taken care with compact powder. It is fragrance free.

I am using this cream for almost a month now and I can surely say with this you don’t need to worry about sunburn or tanning. I have been in sun for one whole day and I did not get tan neither my dark patches became darker.

It is little pricey that is for 1250Rs for 50 ml but it totally justifies the price by the protection it provides. It says you will need 7 pumps to cover your full face and neck. I tried to do that but 7 pumps make my skin little white so I go with 5 pumps to cover all my face and neck. I reapply it after every 3 4 hours even I am in door. I am using it for more than a month and I am still left with almost half of tube so it will last with me for another 30 to 45 days, which is quite good.

It is suitable for dry skin and combination skin beauties can also try this. It might not suit oily skin so they can try second version that is meant to be for oily skin only.

  • Very High Protection of 50+ SPF
  • Very Water Resistant
  • Paraben Free
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non- Comedogenic
  • Suitable for sensitive and dry skin
  • It never breaks out me
  • No stinging after application

  • Pricy ( If you think that is a con for you)

For me it does not have any cons. This is the best sunscreen I have ever used till date.

 Rating: 5/5

Recommendation: I highly recommend it to all who are looking for best sunscreen.
